With the arrival of February, the heart of Vall de Pop is transformed. The hillsides and fields of Alcalalí are dressed in pink and white thanks to the blossoming of almond trees, creating a natural spectacle that every year attracts hikers, photographers, and nature lovers.

Just a few minutes from Xaló, this small town celebrates the moment with Feslalí, a festival dedicated to almond blossoms and the appreciation of traditional agriculture. More than a festival, it is a declaration of love for the land, its landscape, its people, and its roots.

Two routes to get lost among almond trees

The Alcalalí Almond Blossom Route can be enjoyed through two itineraries, both simple and suitable for all audiences.

Route 1: Alcalalí - Hermitage of Sant Joan de Mosquera (3.8 km)
An ideal option for a leisurely stroll, surrounded by fields in bloom. It starts from the urban area and leads to the hermitage, along asphalted agricultural paths, amidst sweet perfumes and panoramic views that deserve to be contemplated without haste.

VIEW ROUTE 

Route 2: Circular to Penya Talai (6.6 km)
A slightly longer route, but just as accessible. With a bit more elevation gain (+110 m), it ventures towards the foothills of Penya Talai and Coll de Rates, offering a broader perspective of the valley. The journey is a combination of scenic beauty and rural silence.

Feslalí: tradition and sustainability

Throughout February, Feslalí organizes guided interpretive routes that enrich the walk with information about local flora, the history of almond cultivation, and the ecological value of this agricultural practice. There are also tastings, markets, and cultural activities that celebrate authenticity.

However, beyond the festival, walking these routes during the week, without crowds, is an intimate experience. Only the singing of birds and the valley breeze accompany your steps among the ephemeral almond blossoms.
