19 Crimes Tempranillo demonstrates how a variety deeply linked to Spain can successfully adapt to Australian vineyards. True to the brand's rebellious spirit, this wine combines the identity of Tempranillo with a modern, intense, and very accessible style.

Inspired by the story of British convicts sent to Australia for committing one of the nineteen crimes that gave the brand its name, this wine maintains the daring character of the collection, offering a different interpretation of one of the world's most emblematic varieties.

The Vineyard

The grapes come from different vineyards located in South Eastern Australia, where the warm, dry climate favors full ripening of the Tempranillo, developing great fruit intensity and soft tannins.

The diversity of soils and microclimates allows for a balanced wine that retains its varietal character with a distinctive Australian personality.

Winemaking

The grapes are harvested at their optimum ripeness and fermented in stainless steel tanks with temperature control to preserve all the aromatic intensity of the fruit.

Winemaking seeks to highlight the varietal expression of Tempranillo through gentle extraction that maintains the balance between fruit, freshness, and structure, resulting in a wine that is easy to enjoy from its youth.

Tasting Notes

It presents an intense ruby red color with violet reflections.

On the nose, aromas of ripe cherry, plums, red fruits, and light hints of vanilla, cocoa, and sweet spices stand out, adding complexity.

On the palate, it is round, juicy, and very balanced. Ripe fruit dominates the whole, accompanied by soft tannins, good freshness, and a persistent finish with pleasant spicy notes.
