Jean Leon 3055 Chardonnay is the freshest, most elegant, and vibrant expression of this variety from the heart of the Penedès region. It is a wine that captures the Mediterranean soul, bathed in light and breeze, where the sea and mountains embrace to give life to a white wine that is pure freshness, fruit, and delicacy.

It originates from high-altitude vineyards, where the sandy loam soils impart tension, minerality, and finesse. Made following certified organic viticulture practices, the harvest is carried out manually at its optimal point of ripeness. A portion of the must ferments in stainless steel tanks to preserve its freshest and most fruity character, while another portion ferments and ages on its lees in French oak barrels, providing creaminess and depth.

Tasting Notes

Pale yellow color with greenish reflections, bright and clean. The nose is fragrant, fresh, and expressive, with notes of white fruit—apple, pear—, ripe citrus, pineapple, white flowers, and a delicate background of butter and nuts, contributed by its brief time in barrel. On the palate it is silky, balanced, and vibrant, with refreshing acidity and a long finish where fruit and minerality merge in perfect harmony.

Pairing

Ideal with seafood, white fish, sushi, seafood rice dishes, roasted vegetables, mild cheeses, and white meats. Its fresh and elegant profile makes it the perfect companion for celebrations, aperitifs, or a light meal by the sea.
