The Vineyard

The grapes come from selected vineyards located in nine different municipalities in the provinces of Burgos and Valladolid, within the Ribera del Duero.

The vines are between 40 and 80 years old, offering low yields and extraordinary fruit concentration.

The 2022 vintage was marked by demanding continental conditions, with scarce rainfall, high temperatures during the summer, and a harvest carried out after careful selection to ensure maximum quality.

Winemaking

The harvest is carried out manually in 15-kilogram boxes.

Each cluster passes through a rigorous sorting table where it is individually inspected to ensure that only the best fruit goes into production.

Subsequently, the wine ages for 17 months in French and American oak barrels, achieving a perfect balance between power, fruit, and complexity.

Tasting Notes

It presents an intense cherry red color of great depth.

The nose highlights aromas of ripe red fruit accompanied by elegant spicy notes and hints of licorice that provide complexity and character.

On the palate, it shows a silky and enveloping texture, supported by excellent acidity that provides freshness and balance. The finish is broad, elegant, and persistent, with a long aftertaste that leaves hints of ripe fruit and spices.

Pairing

Ideal to accompany red meats, roasted lamb, game, traditional stews, and cured cheeses.

Especially recommended with roasted lamb shank accompanied by mashed potatoes, a combination that enhances the depth and elegance of the wine.
