AALTO 2023 is the purest, most precise, and majestic expression of the soul of the Ribera del Duero. A wine born from an intimate knowledge of the best plots, absolute respect for old vines, and a relentless pursuit of excellence and beauty in every glass.

Made from old vines, between 40 and 80 years old, planted at high altitudes on clay-limestone, sandy, and stony soils, distributed across various emblematic municipalities of the Ribera. Vineyards cultivated under a sustainable philosophy, where the vine clearly expresses the essence of the terroir. Harvesting is manual, with exhaustive selection in the vineyard and winery. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel and concrete tanks. The wine is aged for 18 months in French and American oak barrels, refining and achieving extraordinary depth, elegance, and balance.

Tasting Notes

Very intense cherry red color, deep, with garnet rim and dense tears. The nose is deep, elegant and complex, with aromas of ripe black fruit —blackberry, plum, blackcurrant—, sweet spices, cocoa, licorice, graphite, hints of damp earth and touches of fine wood. On the palate it is broad, silky and powerful, with fine tannins, impeccable structure, vibrant freshness and a long, persistent and enveloping finish where fruit, minerality and aging nuances merge into an eternal whisper.

Pairing

Perfect for grilled red meats, aged beef chop, suckling lamb, game stews, traditional casseroles, cured cheeses and Iberian cured meats. A wine that calls for a generous table, time and silence to be contemplated and enjoyed.
