Aalto Blanco de Parcela 2023 is the unexpected light that emerges from Ribera del Duero, a unique white wine born in a region known for its reds, but where the vineyard hides surprises of rare beauty. Made with Albillo Mayor, an ancestral variety of the region, this wine reveals the most elegant, complex, and mineral side of the Castilian terroir.

Sourced from a single plot, where old Albillo Mayor vines grow on limestone and clay soils at an altitude of over 800 meters. The extreme climate and poor soil impart tension and freshness to each cluster. Harvesting is manual, with meticulous selection in the vineyard and winery. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in new and used French oak barrels, where it remains on its lees for 9 months, refining its texture and unfolding its innate elegance.

Tasting Notes

Pale golden yellow color, bright and luminous. On the nose, it is deep, complex, and elegant, with aromas of ripe white fruit—pear, apple—candied citrus, dried flowers, white honey, and a background of limestone and subtle toasted notes. On the palate, it is enveloping, broad, and silky, with a vibrant acidity that supports its structure, and a long, saline, and persistent finish, where minerality and fruit blend in perfect harmony.

Pairing

Perfect with noble fish such as turbot or monkfish, Galician seafood, white meats, creamy rice dishes, cured cheeses, and haute cuisine. A white with a cellaring soul, capable of growing and evolving over time.
