Product Sheet – Almoroig Petit Verdot

Almoroig Petit Verdot is the intense and profound voice of the Mediterranean land. A wine born from the encounter between elegance and strength, where the demanding and singular Petit Verdot grape unfolds all its character in the luminous and mineral landscape of Marina Alta, in Alicante.

The vineyard, cultivated at altitude on calcareous and stony soils, is caressed by the sea breeze and protected by the mountains. The low-yielding vines offer small, concentrated clusters that give life to a wine that is the pure essence of intensity, freshness, and balance. The harvest is manual, with selection in the vineyard. Fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts, followed by an 8-month aging period in French oak barrels, where the wine refines, softens its edges, and develops its elegant and spicy character.

Tasting Notes

Very intense cherry red color with violet hues, clean and bright. The nose is expressive, deep, and seductive, with aromas of ripe black fruit—blackberry, blueberry, plum—violets, sweet spices, cocoa, black pepper, balsamic notes, and a delicate mineral background that evokes the stone and warm earth of the Mediterranean. On the palate, it is powerful, structured, and silky, with firm yet polished tannins, vibrant freshness, and a long, persistent finish where fruit, wood, and minerality blend in perfect balance.

Pairing

Ideal for grilled red meats, T-bone steak, lamb, game stews, traditional casseroles, artisanal cured meats, and aged cheeses. Its robust yet elegant character makes it the ideal companion for generous tables and flavorful dishes.
