Belondrade Quinta Apolonia Magnum 2023 is the most varietal interpretation of Verdejo from Belondrade y Lurton, produced in V.T. Castilla y León by Didier Belondrade. Named in honor of his daughter Apolline, this magnum format concentrates freshness and structure to share and enjoy with style.

The harvest is done manually into boxes, with spontaneous fermentation in steel tanks, concrete eggs, and a portion in used oak from the top wine's coupage. After resting on lees for 3 months, the result is integrated into an assemblage of 70% in steel and 30% in barrels, reflecting a white wine of great complexity.

Bright straw yellow color, clean and attractive
Silky and expressive nose, with vegetal aromas characteristic of Verdejo, along with peach, apricot, citrus, and a creamy floral-lactic background
On the palate, it is enveloping and fresh, with well-integrated acidity, a creamy texture, and a long, persistent finish that invites another glass

Pairing

Ideal with grilled shellfish, white fish, seafood rice dishes, warm salads, and mild cheeses. Its elegance also makes it an excellent aperitif.

History & Terroir

Inspired by Bordeaux's second wines, Quinta Apolonia is the result of the initial "first assemblage" of the year, combining 30% fermented in barrel (from the first Belondrade y Lurton wine) and 70% in tanks. This yields a fresher Verdejo with depth. The magnum version enhances its evolution and elegance, ideal for sharing or cellaring.
