Predicador 2022 is the most accessible version of the Bodega Contador universe, without sacrificing the identity and character that defines Benjamín Romeo's project. Inspired by Clint Eastwood's character in Pale Rider, this wine comes from younger vines, offering freshness, balance, and elegance in a modern and very enjoyable style.

The Vineyard

It comes from a group of estates located in San Vicente de la Sonsierra and Labastida, among them Burdarán, Sacramento, La Arena or El Saúco.

Bush-trained, dry-farmed vineyards, between 20 and 40 years old, cultivated on predominantly clay-limestone soils. The low yields, around 1.5 kg per vine, allow for good concentration and balance in the fruit.

Winemaking

The grapes are destemmed without crushing and fermented in truncated conical oak vats at controlled temperatures between 19 and 24 ºC for 7 to 10 days.

Subsequently, the wine is aged for approximately 15 months in French oak barrels of one and two uses, seeking a balance between fruit and wood.

Tasting Notes

Cardinal red color of medium-high intensity.

The nose reveals balsamic and mineral notes, accompanied by ripe red fruit and a well-integrated fine oak.

On the palate, it is fresh, fine, and elegant, with a balanced texture and a long finish.

Ideal with roasted meats, cured meats, traditional stews, and Mediterranean cuisine.
