Bodega Masos – Oro de Masos Alfafarenca Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Available size: 500 ml
Product description
Oro de Masos is a limited production extra virgin olive oil made exclusively from Alfafarenca olives. Born in a privileged environment in the interior of Alicante, this EVOO expresses the most authentic character of an indigenous variety with an intense, fresh, and profoundly Mediterranean aromatic profile.
Its personality is defined by a highly intense green fruitiness, where notes of olive leaf, tomato plant, green apple, and freshly cut grass combine with a balanced palate, with a sweet and herbaceous entry. A slight bitterness and medium pungency delicately accompany the ensemble, leaving an elegant hint of green almond and a pleasant sensation of freshness.

Authenticity and origin
Oro de Masos is born in Mas de Ondara, a historic estate of 353 hectares whose history dates back almost eight centuries. As early as 1237, King Jaume I's Llibre del Repartiment documented the cultivation of vines in these lands, which later became part of the Marquisate of Guadalest and passed through the hands of historic families such as the Cardonas and the Orduñas.
After centuries of agricultural tradition and after phylloxera caused the abandonment of much of the Alicante vineyard at the beginning of the 20th century, the Masos project revives this historic enclave with the aim of bringing life back to a land deeply linked to Mediterranean agriculture. Today, in addition to rescuing the viticultural tradition of the valley, the estate produces extra virgin olive oils of extraordinary quality, where history, landscape, and excellence come together in every bottle.
