The Vineyard
The grapes come from plots located in the Uco Valley, at the foot of the Andes mountain range.
The main vineyard is in Altamira, at an altitude of about 1,000 meters, complemented by plots in Gualtallary at 1,250 meters and San Pablo at 1,400 meters.
The soils are alluvial, sandy, and calcareous, with an abundant presence of gravel and limestone, fundamental elements to provide tension, freshness, and mineral complexity to the wine.
The large thermal differences between day and night favor a slow and balanced ripening of the grapes.
Winemaking
Harvesting is done manually, and the grapes are carefully selected before entering the winery.
After destemming, alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
Maceration lasts approximately 20 days, with gentle pump-overs to delicately extract color and tannins.
Malolactic fermentation occurs naturally in tanks, and the wine is then aged for about 11 months in a combination of French oak barrels—with 18% new wood—wooden vats, and concrete tanks.
Tasting Notes
Deep black color with violet reflections.
The nose reveals intense aromas of blackberry, fig, and black cherry, accompanied by delicate spicy notes and hints of cocoa.
On the palate, it is dense, velvety, and enveloping, with perfectly integrated fleshy tannins and a magnificent balance between power and freshness.
The finish is long, flavorful, and elegant.
Pairing
Ideal with grilled Argentine meats, lamb, smoked cuisine, rich stews, and aged cheeses.
Recommended serving temperature: between 16 and 18 ºC.
Aruma Malbec 2023 conveys all the energy of Mendoza's high-altitude vineyards through a refined and modern style. An intense and silky wine where fruit, minerality, and elegance coexist in perfect harmony.
