The Vineyard

The grapes come from dry-farmed bush vines located in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, Leza, and Briones.

The soils, mostly clay-limestone and alluvial, in some cases poor and on steep slopes, contribute concentration, minerality, and character to the wine.

Winemaking

The selected grapes are destemmed and undergo a cold maceration for 24 hours.

The free-run must is transferred directly to new 225-liter French oak barrels, where alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature between 16 and 18 ºC for approximately 15 days.

Subsequently, the wine remains in barrel for an 8-month aging period, integrating the oak and adding complexity.

Tasting Notes

Bright, deep yellow color.

The nose is fine and elegant, with citrus aromas, wild flowers, and aromatic herbs, along with notes of stone fruit such as apricot and plum, with a marked mineral character.

On the palate it is fresh and structured, with volume and an unctuous texture. It has good balance and a long finish with a predominant minerality.

Ideal with elaborate fish dishes, seafood, rice dishes, white meats, and more complex Mediterranean cuisine.
