The Vineyard

The grapes come from plots located in Cambados, just 10 meters above sea level and very close to the Ría de Arousa. The soils are made of granite saprolite and sand, which provides minerality and freshness to the wine.

The vineyards, with an average age of over 25 years, are cultivated using the traditional pergola system with a planting density of 5x4 and approximately 600 vines per hectare. The Atlantic climate of the area, with abundant rainfall and direct ocean influence, gives the wine a fresh, saline, and deeply Atlantic character.

Winemaking

The harvest is carried out manually at the end of September into 18 kg boxes, with the selection of the best grapes in the vineyard itself.

At the winery, a long pressing process of about four hours is carried out, with progressive and gentle pressures to obtain high-quality musts. After settling, fermentation begins spontaneously with constant temperature control.

The wine remains 7 months on its fine lees, which are kept in suspension by pumping over every fifteen days, providing texture, complexity, and volume.

Tasting Notes

Straw yellow color with greenish reflections.

On the nose, it is intense and expressive, with aromas of ripe fruit reminiscent of white peach, pear, and apple, accompanied by delicate notes of yeast and vanilla from the aging on lees.

On the palate, it is broad and enveloping, with good volume and a perfectly integrated acidity that provides freshness and citrus notes. The finish is long, slightly bitter, and very persistent.

Pairing

Ideal with seafood, fish, seafood rice dishes, and Atlantic cuisine.

A precise and elegant Albariño that expresses the Atlantic essence of Cambados, where the proximity of the sea and the granitic soils shape a fresh, mineral, and full-bodied wine.
