Altas Parcelas Garnacha 2021 is a single-varietal Garnacha red wine from Cuevas de Arom, a project by Fernando Mora & San Alejandro in Calatayud, Aragón. It comes from old vine plots (≥ 50 years old), ungrafted, grown on slate, quartzite, limestone and clay slopes at 700–850 m altitude

The harvest is done by hand. 20–30% of the clusters are fermented with stems, using indigenous yeasts in concrete tanks. The grapes remain in maceration for about 40 days, and the wine ages 10 months in concrete, preserving the pure character of the Garnacha

Tasting Notes

Ruby red color, transparent. The nose displays red currants, white pepper, thyme and subtle mineral notes ("flint") . On the palate it is fresh and light, with firm tannins, vibrant acidity and hints of fresh red fruit and saline minerality .

Food Pairing

Ideal with grilled white meats, cured meats, mushrooms, soft cheeses, and Mediterranean rice dishes.
