Curii Trepadell 2025 is a small Mediterranean gem made by Curii Uvas y Vinos in Xaló, in the heart of Alicante's Marina Alta region. This white wine, produced in extremely limited quantities, revives the Trepadell, a practically unknown local variety, sourced from vines approximately 60 years old.
The vineyard faces the Mediterranean and its roots delve into white, calcareous soils. The combination of old vines, maritime influence, and minimal intervention winemaking results in a profound, saline white wine with enormous personality. Production for this vintage is limited to only 376 bottles.

The Vineyard
The Trepadell comes from old vines about 60 years old, planted on characteristic white limestone soils with a southeast orientation.
The proximity to the Mediterranean Sea, visible from the vineyard itself, plays a fundamental role in the wine's personality. The calcareous landscape, maritime influence, and the age of the vines create an especially fresh and saline profile, deeply linked to the Marina Alta territory.
Winemaking
The grapes are destemmed, crushed, and pressed directly. The must ferments in used 250-liter American oak barrels, where it then remains on its lees, without bâtonnage.
Aging lasts for 12 months, aiming to develop texture and complexity without masking the expression of the Trepadell. Before bottling, a very light filtration is performed, and a minimum amount of sulfur dioxide is added.
Minimal intervention winemaking in line with Curii's artisanal philosophy and with a production of just 376 bottles.
Tasting Notes
It presents an attractive bright golden straw yellow color, with reflections reminiscent of lime yellow.
The nose shows an elegant and unconventional expression. Stone fruits, citrus, dried fruits, and delicate hints of beeswax appear, accompanied by a distinct Mediterranean background.
On the palate, it is precise, flavorful, and crystalline. Green fruit and light herbaceous nuances meet an intense saline sensation that is one of the wine's hallmarks. The aging provides depth and texture without sacrificing freshness, leaving a long finish reminiscent of limestone and sea breeze.
Food Pairing
Its saline character finds a particularly interesting accompaniment in Mediterranean products. Ideal with Denia red prawns, king prawns, steamed clams, oysters, seafood, white fish, and seafood paella.
Recommended serving temperature: between 8 and 10 ºC.
In just 376 bottles, Curii Trepadell 2025 concentrates an almost forgotten part of Alicante's viticultural heritage. Old vines, limestone, and the Mediterranean meet in a unique, artisanal white wine deeply connected to Xaló; a wine that doesn't seek to resemble others but rather to tell the story of the landscape from which it originates.
