Dehesa del Carrizal Petit Verdot 2022 is a red wine made by Dehesa del Carrizal in the D.O.P. Pago Dehesa del Carrizal, Spain. It comes from their own vineyards located in the Montes de Toledo, where the Petit Verdot vines are cultivated in clay and limestone soils at altitudes between 800 and 900 meters.

The harvest is done manually, with a careful selection of bunches. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Subsequently, the wine is aged for 12 to 15 months in French oak barrels, and a minimum of 12 months in the bottle before commercialization.

Tasting Notes

Intense cherry red color with bluish reflections. On the nose, it displays aromas of berries, licorice, eucalyptus, and notes of underbrush. On the palate, a fresh and smooth entry, with mature tannins that provide breadth and a long finish. Notable presence of graphite, a distinctive mineral characteristic of Petit Verdot.
