Do Ferreiro Cepas Vellas 2023 is the purest and deepest whisper of Galician Albariño, born from centenary vines that have seen generations pass on the slopes of the Val do Salnés, where granite stone and the Atlantic breeze sculpt each cluster. A wine that is pure liquid memory, a faithful expression of the most ancient landscape of Rías Baixas.

Coming from a single plot planted over 200 years ago, the grapes are hand-harvested, with absolute respect for the vineyard and minimal intervention in the winery. Fermentation is spontaneous, with native yeasts, and aging takes place on fine lees for several months in stainless steel tanks, seeking the perfect balance between varietal purity and mineral complexity.

Tasting Notes

Straw yellow color with golden reflections, bright and luminous. The nose is deep, elegant and mineral, with aromas of ripe white fruit —baked apple, pear—, candied citrus, dried flowers, almond and an underlying wet stone and Atlantic salinity that speaks of the vineyard. On the palate it is broad, silky and vibrant, with a precise acidity that supports its structure and a long, saline and persistent finish where minerality and freshness embrace in an almost perfect balance.
