El Enemigo Cabernet Franc 2021 is a dry red wine produced by Bodega Aleanna, founded by Alejandro Vigil and Adrianna Catena, in the Mendoza region, Argentina. It comes from vineyards located in Gualtallary, in the Uco Valley, at an altitude of between 1,400 and 1,470 meters above sea level, where the calcareous soils and continental climate provide freshness and concentration to the wine.
The harvest is done manually, with a careful selection of clusters at five different times, spanning a period of five weeks. The grapes ferment for 22 days at a maximum temperature of 28 °C, with a maceration of 28 days. Subsequently, the wine ages for 16 months in French oak barrels, 20% of which are new, allowing the wine to develop its characteristic complexity and elegance.
