El Enemigo Chardonnay 2022 is a dry white wine produced by Bodega Aleanna in the Mendoza region of Argentina. Sourced from vineyards located in Gualtallary (Tupungato) at an altitude of 1,470 meters above sea level, where deep calcareous soils and a continental climate contribute freshness and concentration to the wine.

The harvest is done manually, with a careful selection of the bunches. The grapes ferment in 500-liter French oak barrels with indigenous yeasts, at a maximum temperature of 18°C for 40 days. Subsequently, the wine ages for 12 months under a veil of flor in the same barrels, allowing the wine to develop its characteristic complexity and elegance.

Tasting Notes

Brilliant golden yellow color. On the nose, aromas of dried fruits (hazelnuts and almond skin) and candied fruit. On the palate, the salinity from the biological aging is subtly felt over a base of candied citrus and a faint tropical hint. Lactic and toasted notes envelop an elegant, full-bodied, and atypical wine. 

Pairing

Ideal to accompany sole meunière, sheep cheeses, and goat cheese.
