Finca Calvestra Merseguera 2021 is a mineral whisper born in the high altitudes of Valencia, where Merseguera, a traditional varietal, finds new life on terraces 900m above calcareous soils. A high-altitude white wine that envelops with herbal aromas, stone fruit, and a salty echo that reflects its ancestral origin. 

The harvest is done manually following the lunar cycles, and the grapes ferment with indigenous yeasts in acacia or used barrels, without aging in new oak. This preserves the varietal purity and results in a fresh, delicate wine that reflects its terroir.

Tasting Notes

Pale yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose, it offers notes of stone fruit—nectarine, peach—alongside wild herbs like fennel and rosemary, deep mineral echoes, and a subtle hint of sea salt. On the palate, it is fresh, delicate, and elegant, with a vibrant acidity that balances a soft texture and a persistent finish marked by fruit and wet stone. 

Food Pairing

Ideal with fatty fish, seafood rice dishes, Mediterranean pairings with tomato and olive oil, warm salads, light Asian cuisine, and soft cheeses. Its freshness and herbaceous nuances enhance flavors and evoke the dry, high-altitude, flowery landscape.
