Luis XIV Fondillón 25 Años is an iconic natural dessert wine, produced by Colección de Toneles Centenarios in the D.O. Alicante (Alto Vinalopó). The result of a unique solera, it combines reserves from barrels over 25 years old, made from Monastrell grapes grown in dry-farmed vineyards on sandy-loam soils, 550‑580 m.

It is blended in a solera of centuries-old casks ("Cupido" and "La Cova de Pena"), with a minimum aging of 25 years, unfortified, achieving a balance between natural sugar and vibrant acidity.

Tasting Notes

Mahogany color with a brick-red rim, medium depth and density. On the nose, fine toasted notes, dried fruits (hazelnuts, almond), hints of dried figs, salted caramel, and a subtle reminiscence of tea and coffee. On the palate, it is enveloping, almost dry, with natural sweetness, refreshing acidity, silky texture, and a prolonged balsamic and salty finish.

Pairing

An ideal accompaniment for blue cheeses, foie gras, dark chocolate with over 70% cocoa, nougat, and toasted nuts.
