Gironauta 2021 is a dry red wine made by Aida i Luis Vinyaters in the Valencian Community region, Spain. It comes from a single vineyard located at 620 meters above sea level in the Sierra de Bernia Natural Reserve, where the ferrous clay soils with abundant limestone and the Mediterranean climate provide freshness and complexity to the wine.

The harvest is done manually, with a careful selection of the bunches. The grapes ferment with native yeasts, using 50% of the stems, followed by 12 months of aging in French oak barrels. The wine is neither clarified nor filtered, thus preserving its natural and authentic character.

Tasting Notes

Medium cherry red color. On the nose, aromas of fresh cherries, Mediterranean shrubs, and leather notes. On the palate, it is smooth and full, with great acidity and a long aftertaste that reflects its origin in the Sierra de Bernia.
