Impromptu Rosé 2023 is a dry rosé wine produced by Bodegas Hispano+Suizas in the Utiel-Requena region, Spain. It comes from their own low-yield Pinot Noir vineyards, where the calcareous-clay soils and the continental climate with Mediterranean influences provide freshness and complexity to the wine.

Harvesting is done manually in 15 kg boxes during the mornings to maintain the optimal grape temperature. The boxes are placed in a cold storage room at -10 °C. Subsequently, they are manually selected, destemmed, and gently crushed. The resulting pulp undergoes cold skin maceration at 0 °C for approximately two hours. This is followed by a light pressing, and the must is statically decanted for 24 hours. Fermentation takes place in new 400-liter American oak barrels at a controlled temperature of 16 °C. Once fermentation is complete, the wine remains on its lees until bottling.

Tasting Notes

Pale rose gold color. On the nose, aromas of tropical red fruit and a slight hint of vanilla. On the palate, it is intense, with good volume and very good acidity, leaving a finish of red fruit with a slight lactic touch in the aftertaste.

Ideal to pair with pasta, vegetable and chicken rice dishes, mild cheeses, omelets, and fruit salad.
