Micalet 2024 is Javi Revert's first white wine and one of the most personal and Mediterranean interpretations of new Valencian viticulture. Made from historical local varieties grown on the slopes of Penya Foradà, this wine reflects landscape, tradition, and a contemporary sensibility deeply tied to the territory.

The Vineyard

The grapes come from a single 2.5-hectare vineyard located in Penya Foradà, in La Font de la Figuera, at an altitude of approximately 730 meters.

The plot combines grafted vines and ungrafted vines on their own roots, with two distinct harvests carried out according to the optimal ripening moment.

The Mediterranean mountain environment provides tension, freshness, and a distinct mineral identity.

Winemaking

Harvesting is done manually in small baskets in mid-September.

The grapes are pressed with whole clusters, and the winemaking process is divided into two parts: one ferments and ages in large format wood with native yeasts and without temperature control, while the other remains on its lees in demijohns.

Both aging processes last approximately 8 months before final blending.

Tasting Notes

Bright lemon-yellow color.

On the nose, it displays aromas of ripe white fruit, white flowers, Mediterranean herbs, dried fruits, and delicate mineral hints.

On the palate, it is broad, opulent, and full-bodied, accompanied by a slight bitter tension and a fresh spark that balances the whole.

The finish is long, gastronomic, and deeply Mediterranean.

Ideal with Valencian rice dishes, fatty fish, Mediterranean cuisine, seafood, vegetable cuisine, and mild stews.
