Garnacha Blanca GB-21 is one of the most unique editions in Jean Leon's experimental collection. An ephemeral, artisanal wine with very limited production, it explores the potential of one of the Mediterranean varieties least represented in Penedès. With only one vintage produced and just 3,034 bottles, this white wine expresses freshness, aromatic intensity, and a distinct personality.

Vineyard and production

The grapes come from a small vineyard located in Masquefa, at an altitude of about 260 meters, on clay soils. The 2021 vintage was marked by a dry year with scarce rainfall, compensated by lower than usual temperatures, which allowed for the preservation of excellent natural freshness.

Following the philosophy of the experimental range, the vinification was carried out entirely in stainless steel tanks. The wine remained for four months in these tanks, seeking to highlight the varietal expression, aromatic purity, and tension on the palate.

Tasting notes

The nose is intense and expressive, with aromas of white and tropical fruit, accompanied by citrus and floral notes. On the palate, it is appealing and balanced, with a lively acidity that provides freshness and a long, elegant finish that prolongs the fruity sensations.

Pairing and serving

Ideal to accompany fish, seafood, Mediterranean rice dishes, vegetable cuisine, and mild white meats.
Recommended serving temperature: 7–9 ºC.
