MO-23 is the vindication of a historic variety. Planted in 2020 and recovered from Catalonia's pre-phylloxera heritage, Moneu is reborn in the Jean Leon vineyards as a response to the future: adaptation to climate change, Mediterranean identity, and an innovative outlook without losing its roots.
With only 3,007 bottles, this single-varietal wine is a unique piece within the winery's experimental project.

Winemaking
Moneu, a recovered pre-phylloxera variety, is vinified as a single-varietal to showcase its full potential. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 11 months in French oak barrels and large foudres, seeking a balance between fruit, structure, and elegance.
Tasting Notes
The nose stands out for its great intensity, with a predominance of ripe black fruits and elegant spicy notes. On the palate, it shows a sweet entry, good concentration, and a firm but refined structure. The finish is fresh, long, and elegant, leaving a balanced and precise sensation.
Pairing
Perfect with red meats, game dishes, spiced stews, or aged cheeses. Its structure and freshness also allow for more creative pairings.
MO-23 is intuition transformed into wine. Innovation, memory, and character in a limited edition that shows that looking to the past can be the best way to build the future.
