Product Sheet – José Pariente 25 Años en Barrica

José Pariente 25 Años en Barrica is a tribute to time and patience, a great white wine born from José Pariente's last harvest in 1997. This 100% Verdejo has remained 25 years in French oak barrels, patiently aging to reveal a unique complexity: nuts, honey, candied orange peel, hydrocarbons, and a silky salinity

The grapes come from a vineyard planted in 1943 in El Portugués (Rueda), on quartzite boulders. The harvest was manual, and after fermenting in 500 L barrels, the wine continued its aging in them for a quarter of a century, slowly losing water and gaining density and elegance

Tasting Notes

Intense, brilliant amber color, with slow tears that reveal density. The nose emanates dried fruits, honey, beeswax, hydrocarbons, elegant spices, and a saline and mineral background that evokes the terroir. On the palate it is unctuous, with excellent acidity and great persistence: dried fruits, honey, sweet spices and an enveloping and saline finish that retains the memory of time.

Pairing

Ideal to accompany red meats and game, hearty consommés, autumn mushrooms and aged cheeses. A wine that elevates the table with its energy and depth

José Pariente 25 Años en Barrica is the liquid poetry of the passage of time, celebrated in every sip as an emotional legacy between generations.
