From the vineyards that embrace the Sierra de l’Ombria in Fontanars dels Alforins, comes La Mujer Caballo Azul 2020, a unique red wine that revives the ancient Arcos grape variety. This artisanal red by Fil·Loxera & Cía. is an ode to the land, made with minimal intervention, fermented with wild yeasts and aged for 8 months in used barrels. Unfiltered and unfined, it clearly expresses the inland Mediterranean character: red fruit, freshness, floral rusticity, and subtle elegance.

Tasting Notes

Medium-bodied cherry red color. Delicate and fragrant nose, with pomegranate, dried flowers, and garrigue. On the palate, agile, fine tannins, and an earthy finish, with acidic tension and a mineral whisper that leaves its mark.

Pairing

Perfect with vegetable dishes, mountain rice, mushrooms, roasted poultry, and artisan cured meats. Also pairs well with autumn dishes and washed-rind cheeses.
