Ladrón de Guevara Crianza is the essence of Rioja Alavesa, a wine that pays homage to the balance between tradition and modernity, where fruit embraces wood and time shapes its contours. A wine that captures the soul of a landscape of hillside vineyards, bathed in light and caressed by the north wind.

It comes from vines grown at high altitudes, on clay-limestone soils that impart freshness, minerality, and tension. The vines, meticulously cared for under respectful cultivation practices, offer clusters that are a pure expression of the terroir. The harvest is manual, with selection in the vineyard. Fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts, followed by aging for 12 months in American and French oak barrels, where the wine gains structure, depth, and balance, while maintaining the freshness and essence of the fruit.

On the nose, it is frank, elegant, and expressive, with aromas of ripe red fruit —cherry, raspberry—, plum, sweet spices, vanilla, cocoa, toasted notes, and a subtle mineral background. On the palate, it is silky, balanced, and round, with soft tannins, vibrant freshness, and a long, harmonious finish where fruit and wood blend in perfect harmony.
