The Vineyard

Saint-Émilion is located on the right bank of the Dordogne River, about 40 kilometers east of the city of Bordeaux.

The appellation boasts an extraordinary diversity of soils, where limestone formations with marine fossils, gravel, sand, and calcareous clays coexist, contributing complexity and richness to the wines.

The 2019 vintage was marked by a warm and dry summer that favored excellent fruit concentration, while late September rains allowed for optimal grape ripening.

Winemaking

The grapes are destemmed and gently crushed before being transferred to temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.

Alcoholic fermentation takes place at around 30 ºC and is followed by a maceration of approximately three weeks with periodic pump-overs to progressively extract color, aromas, and tannins.

After malolactic fermentation, 60% of the wine ages for 12 months in French oak barrels, adding complexity and refinement.

The nose reveals an intense aromatic expression combining notes of ripe fruit with elegant toasted hints, sweet spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, and delicate aging nuances.

On the palate, it shows an enveloping and balanced texture, with a precise structure and a pleasant tension that provides freshness.

The finish is long, persistent, and spicy, leaving an elegant and harmonious sensation.
