The Vineyard

The grapes come from four vineyards owned by the winery, located in the municipality of Roa (Burgos), at an approximate altitude of 817 meters.

The vines were planted in 1999 on soils composed of sand and pebbles resting on a clay-limestone base where the root system develops.

The continental climate with Atlantic influence favors slow and balanced ripening, key to obtaining wines of great expression and elegance.

Winemaking

The winemaking aims to preserve the characteristic fruit intensity of Tinta del País while enhancing its complexity through long aging.

After fermentation, the wine remains for 18 months in French oak barrels, where it develops aromatic depth and a silky texture.

Bottling took place in April 2024, followed by its aging in the bottle.

Tasting Notes

Opaque and intense cherry color.

The nose is dominated by aromas of ripe fruit and candied fruit, accompanied by elegant notes of chocolate and delicate nuances from aging.

On the palate, it is juicy, ample, and persistent, with excellent fruit concentration, well-integrated tannins, and a long, balanced finish.

Pairing

Ideal with grilled red meats, roast lamb, game dishes, traditional stews, and cured cheeses.
