Vineyard and Winemaking

It comes from Pago Lucas, a 5-hectare vineyard located around the winery on the Finca Ygay estate, in the Rioja Alta subzone, at an altitude of 350 meters. Planted in 1985 on clay-limestone soils with surface pebbles and under a continental climate with Mediterranean influence.

The harvest was carried out manually on October 5, 2024. After destemming, the first must is separated from the skins and ferments slowly in concrete tanks at 10 ºC. Malolactic fermentation does not occur. After fermentation, the wine remains for 6 months on fine lees, gaining density and complexity.
Bottling: April 2025.

Tasting Notes

It presents a crystalline and brilliant pink color. On the nose, it offers aromas of stone fruits accompanied by a fresh herbal background, with notes of mint and dill. On the palate, it shows an elegant acidity, a bold length, and a silky and refined finish.

Pairing and Service

Ideal with sea bass tartare, grilled scallops, tear peas with egg yolk, foie gras, or pickled partridge.
Serving temperature: 10–12 ºC.
