Mas Doix Salanques 2021 is a red wine born from the steep slate slopes of Priorat, where old vines plunge their roots into the licorella soil in search of balance, depth, and soul. A wine that represents the mineral elegance of Priorat, the pure expression of its landscape, and the nobility of its fruit.

Originating from vineyards located between 350 and 500 meters of altitude, cultivated on terraces in licorella soils, this wine is the result of sustainable and precise viticulture. The harvest is manual, with meticulous selection in the vineyard and in the winery. It ferments with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks and ages for 14 months in French oak barrels, aiming to polish its structure and enhance its freshness.

Tasting Notes

Intense cherry red color, with garnet reflections and deep intensity. Intense and complex nose, where aromas of ripe black fruit, plums and candied cherries intertwine with notes of Mediterranean herbs, cocoa, sweet spices, and a mineral background of hot stone and graphite. On the palate, it is powerful, silky, and structured, with firm and polished tannins, an acidity that balances the opulence, and a long, deep, and mineral finish that lingers elegantly.

Perfect to accompany red meats, game stews, grilled ribs, traditional stews, mushroom dishes, cured cheeses, and mountain cuisine. A wine that calls for a table, time, and conversation.
