Matarromera Crianza 2020 is the most classic and renowned expression of the Ribera del Duero. A wine that embodies the essence of the Duero: the serene strength of its lands, the elegance of its history, and the depth of its landscape. Born on the slopes bathed by the river, where the vine roots itself in clay-limestone and stony soils that provide balance, freshness, and structure.

Sourced from selected vineyards located in Valbuena de Duero, this red wine is made from a manual harvest, with a careful selection of the best Tinta del País clusters. It ferments in stainless steel tanks and undergoes 12 months of aging in American and French oak barrels, followed by a prolonged rest in the bottle to reach its full potential.

Tasting Notes

Intense cherry red color, bright and deep. On the nose, it is elegant, complex, and expressive, with aromas of ripe black fruit, plums, blackberry, and currant, accompanied by spicy notes, cocoa, vanilla, leather, and a subtle balsamic background. On the palate, it is broad, round, and structured, with firm and polished tannins, good acidity, and a long, persistent, and harmonious finish where fruit and wood blend in perfect balance.

Pairing

Ideal with red meats, roasted suckling lamb, grilled T-bone steak, game stews, cured cheeses, and Iberian cured meats. A wine that calls for a table, conversation, and time.
