Matsu La Moza 2025 represents the youth within the winery's collection, a wine that symbolizes new beginnings, energy, and freshness. Made primarily with Verdejo and complemented with Malvasía Castellana and other varieties, it combines varietal character, volume, and an interesting complexity thanks to its careful aging.

The Vineyard

It comes from Verdejo vineyards between 10 and 20 years old, together with old vines of Malvasía Castellana and other varieties with ages that can reach between 50 and 150 years.

The soils are poor, sandy, and with high granite content, which provides freshness, minerality, and a very marked identity to the wine.

The vintage was conditioned by a rainy winter and a very hot summer that brought forward the ripening, achieving grapes with excellent balance.

Winemaking

Harvest is done manually. The Verdejo corresponds to the 2025 vintage, while the Malvasía and other varieties come from the previous vintage.

After a 4-hour skin maceration and gentle pressing, fermentation takes place spontaneously with indigenous yeasts.

The Verdejo ferments in concrete tanks and remains 3 months on its lees, while the rest of the varieties ferment and age for 14 months in 600-liter French oak barrels.

Tasting Notes

Bright straw yellow color.

The nose reveals aromas of pome fruit like pear, along with creamy, honeyed nuances and herbal notes.

On the palate, it is broad, unctuous and balanced, with good acidity, remarkable volume, and a slightly bitter, citrusy finish that is long and persistent.

Pairing

Ideal with sushi, sashimi, ceviches, Asian cuisine, stir-fried vegetables, white fish, and blue cheeses.

A white wine with its own personality that combines youth and complexity, where the freshness of the Verdejo integrates with the depth of the barrel-aged varieties, resulting in a versatile wine full of character.
