Product Sheet – Melquíades Tinta de Toro 2020
Melquíades Tinta de Toro 2020 is a wine born from the living memory of the Toro region, where the vines grow on poor and sandy soils, caressed by the wind and bathed in the intense light of the plateau. An authentic, powerful, and vibrant expression of Tinta de Toro, paying homage to the austere landscape and the nobility of its old vines.
Sourced from ungrafted vines, over 70 years old, cultivated without chemicals or herbicides, under a philosophy of minimal intervention that respects the natural balance of the vineyard. The harvest is manual, with rigorous selection in the vineyard. It ferments with indigenous yeasts in open tanks, with some whole clusters, and ages for 8 months in used French oak barrels, where it refines without losing its energy and fruity character.

Tasting Notes
Intense cherry-red color with violet reflections. The nose is fresh and expressive, with aromas of black and red fruit—blackberry, blueberry, cherry—, wild flowers, dried herbs, and a mineral background reminiscent of earth dust and hot stone. On the palate, it is juicy, vibrant, and elegant, with gentle tannins, good acidity, and a long, deep, and saline finish, where the fruit blends with the essence of the terroir.
Pairing
Perfect with grilled meats, aged beef steak, suckling lamb, traditional stews, cured meats, and aged cheeses. A wine that calls for a generous table, time, and unhurried conversation.
Melquíades Tinta de Toro 2020 is a song to the purity of Toro, to contained strength and the beauty of the essential. A glass that breathes earth, history, and passion for the vineyard.
