Product Sheet – Milmanda 2015
Milmanda 2015 is a high-altitude Chardonnay that springs from Cistercian lands in Conca de Barberà, in front of the ancient Milmanda Castle, a symbol of tradition and heritage. An estate white that combines dignity and balance, where oak and fruit elegantly converse.
Made by Familia Torres, it comes from vineyards planted around 1980 on clay-limestone soils at 500m altitude. The harvest is manual, and fermentation, carried out in new and second-use French oak barrels, lasts for 12 months, including partial malolactic fermentation to gain balance and depth

Tasting Notes
Visually, it presents a deep golden yellow color. The nose stands out for its intense aromas of candied citrus, dried pears, herbal touches, and nuances of vanilla and coconut, with a fine minerality that lingers on the palate. On the palate, it is unctuous, balanced, broad, and structured, with precise acidity, silky texture, and a long finish tinged with bitter orange and wet stone
Critic James Suckling highlights its “refined balance, with intense aromas of candied citrus and dried pear, coconut and melon, magnificent balance between fruit and oak” (90 pts). Gold medal winner at the International Wine Challenge 2017
Pairing
Perfect for fatty fish (salmon, tuna), crustaceans and cooked seafood, roast chicken, mushroom creams, and soft cheeses. Its rich structure and sustained acidity make it ideal for dishes with character.
Milmanda 2015 is the ultimate expression of a Mediterranean Chardonnay with a Burgundian soul, where the strength and elegance of the vineyard merge with time and barrel aging.
