Muga Selección Especial Reserva 2021 is the most gastronomic expression of Bodegas Muga, born from a careful selection of its own vineyards in Rioja Alta. With an intense cherry red color, this wine combines the nobility of Tempranillo with the freshness of Garnacha, the character of Graciano and the vibrant touch of Mazuelo. On the nose, it displays an aromatic range of ripe black fruit, sweet spices, vanilla, clove, and hints of cocoa. On the palate, it is silky and enveloping, with polished tannins, excellent acidity, and a long finish where toasted notes blend with fruit.

Origin: D.O.Ca. Rioja – Rioja Alta
Varieties: 70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha, 7% Mazuelo, 3% Graciano
Aging: 6 months in new French oak barrels and 26 months in oak barrels (70% French, 30% American), made in the winery's own cooperage. Clarification with egg white and refinement in bottle for 18 months
Color: Intense cherry red, high intensity
Aroma: Ripe fruit, clove, vanilla, chocolate, cocoa, and soft toasted notes
Taste: Silky and structured, round tannins, integrated acidity, with hints of black fruit and spices
Finish: Long, complex, with persistent smoky and sweet notes
