Pela Roques Blanco 2024 is a Mediterranean mountain white wine made by Mustiguillo from Merseguera and Xarel·lo grapes, grown at no less than 920 meters of altitude at Finca Calvestra, Requena.
The altitude, strict dry farming, and calcareous silt-loam soils define a wine of marked freshness and personality. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts, skin contact, and prolonged aging on fine lees provide texture and depth without losing the expression of the landscape.

Winemaking
The grapes are born in Finca Calvestra, one of Mustiguillo's high-altitude landscapes, located at 920 meters above sea level. The vineyards are cultivated under strict dry farming conditions on calcareous silt-loam soils, under conditions that favor slow ripening and allow for excellent freshness to be preserved.
Harvesting is manual in 15 kg boxes, and the clusters pass through a selection table. The Merseguera is destemmed and lightly crushed, while the Xarel·lo is destemmed. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts and skin contact for 15 days, starting in stainless steel tanks and finishing in 500-liter barrels.
Subsequently, the wine undergoes a long aging of 12 months on its fine lees, gaining texture, complexity, and depth.
Tasting Notes
Pela Roques Blanco shows a fresh and Mediterranean profile, with aromas of white fruit, citrus, wild herbs, and flowers, accompanied by mineral hints and subtle nuances derived from its winemaking and aging.
On the palate, it combines tension and volume. The high altitude of the vineyard is reflected in a lively and precise acidity, while the lees aging provides texture and amplitude. The overall character remains dry, fresh, and mineral, with a long and gastronomic finish.
Food Pairing
Especially versatile at the table, it pairs with appetizers, seafood, grilled fish, white meats, and pasta. Its structure and freshness also allow it to accompany seafood stews and fish and seafood rice dishes, where its mineral profile finds excellent affinity.
Pela Roques Blanco 2024 brings the Mediterranean to 920 meters of altitude. Merseguera, Xarel·lo, limestone, and a slow aging on lees create a white wine with texture and depth, but above all with freshness: a mountain interpretation of two varieties deeply linked to the Mediterranean landscape.
