Kalamity Blanco 2023 is a creation by Oxer Bastegieta, originating from old vineyards in Rioja Alavesa, cultivated with organic practices and respect for indigenous varieties. A blend of Viura and other traditional white grapes, fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged for approximately 10 months in large French oak barrels, this wine seeks to express identity, terroir, and authenticity.

Tasting Notes

Bright yellow color with light golden reflections. On the nose, it unfolds white fruits such as ripe apple and peach, white flowers, herbal nuances, and a soft smoky touch that adds complexity. On the palate, it has an enveloping texture, fresh acidity, marked minerality, and a dry, elegant, and persistent finish.

Pairing

Perfect with fatty fish, seafood, Mediterranean rice dishes, dishes with light cream sauce, and soft cheeses. Also excellent as a fine appetizer.
