Pago de los Capellanes Crianza 2023 is the purest essence of Ribera del Duero in Pedrosa, where the vineyard and time intertwine in a dance of elegance, depth, and balance. A wine that reflects fidelity to a terroir and a way of understanding wine, where fruit and finesse coexist in perfect harmony.

It is born from vineyards planted on clay-limestone and stony soils, where the vines find the perfect balance between depth and freshness. Old vines with low yields, cultivated under sustainable practices. The harvest is manual, with rigorous selection berry by berry. It ferments with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks and French oak vats, followed by 12 months of aging in fine-grained French oak barrels, where the wine is polished, gains complexity, and develops serene elegance.

Tasting Notes

Intense cherry red color with violet hues, high intensity and brilliant. On the nose, it is elegant and deep, with aromas of ripe black fruit —blackberry, plum, blueberry—, blue flowers, licorice, and subtle spicy, balsamic, and cocoa notes, with a mineral background that evokes stone and damp earth. On the palate, it is broad, silky, and structured, with fine tannins, impeccable freshness, and a long, persistent, and balanced finish where the fruit and aging nuances merge into a harmonious whisper.

Pairing
