The Vineyard

The grapes come from different plots located in Valtuille de Abajo and Salas de los Barrios.

Some vines date back to 1908, providing depth and complexity to the wine.

The soils combine clay profiles in Palueza with slate areas in Salas de los Barrios, creating a balance between fruit, freshness, and minerality.

The Atlantic-continental climate favors slow and elegant ripening.

Winemaking

Harvesting is done manually.

Vinification is carried out with stems and long macerations with gentle extraction to preserve delicacy and varietal expression.

Fermentation takes place in wooden foudres, and subsequently the wine remains for 12 months in used two and three-year-old French oak barrels.

Tasting Notes

Bright cherry color.

The nose reveals aromas of blackberry, morello cherry, cocoa, tobacco, and dry leaves, accompanied by subtle balsamic and apothecary notes.

On the palate, it is structured and balanced, with pronounced ripe fruit, good freshness, and a long, persistent finish.
