Tío Raimundo Moscatel Velo Flor 2017
Tío Raimundo Moscatel Velo Flor 2017 is a sweet white wine produced by Bodegas Gutiérrez de la Vega in the Valencian Community, Spain. It comes from dry-farmed bush vines located in Plà de Llíber (Marina Alta) and northern Alicante, at an altitude of 250 meters with a southeast orientation, where the Moscatel de Alejandría grapevines are grown in ferruginous clay soils with rounded pebbles.
Harvesting is done manually, with a careful selection of bunches. The grapes are destemmed, crushed, and macerated with their skins for one day. After pressing, they ferment with indigenous yeasts for 15 days. Subsequently, the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks for 5 months. In January 2018, the wine was racked and transferred to 225-liter barrels, filling approximately 2/3, where it remained for 5 years under a flor veil.
