Triga Chardonnay Barrica 2023 is a dry white wine made by Rafa Cañizares in D.O. Alicante. It comes from vineyards located between the Salinas, Umbría and La Sima mountain ranges, at 700 meters of altitude, where the poor and calcareous soils, together with a Mediterranean climate with continental influence, offer ideal conditions for the Chardonnay variety.

Harvest is done manually at the end of August, with low yields of approximately 2 kg per vine. The grapes are fermented in new 225-liter French oak barrels, and the wine is aged on its lees for 8 months, with regular bâtonnage to provide complexity and unctuousness.

Tasting Notes

Golden yellow color with bright reflections. On the nose, aromas of yellow flowers, stone fruits, dried fruits, and saline touches. On the palate, it is unctuous and balanced, with excellent acidity and a long, persistent finish that combines power with elegance.
