Valtravieso Finca Santa María 2023 is the freshest, most vibrant and direct expression of Ribera del Duero at high altitude. A wine born on the estate that gives it its name, where the vineyard challenges the limits of the plateau, at almost 920 meters of altitude, and delivers a fruit full of life, purity and character.

Made with the queen variety, Tinta Fina (Tempranillo), accompanied by a small contribution of other varieties that provide subtlety and complexity. It comes from poor, calcareous and stony soils, which impart freshness, tension and a unique mineral profile. The harvest is manual, with rigorous selection. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, seeking to preserve the purest expression of the fruit. Its aging is brief, for 4 months in barrels and wooden vats, where the wine refines without losing its fresh and juicy essence.

Tasting Notes

Bright cherry red color with violet hues. The nose is frank, expressive and fresh, with aromas of red fruit —strawberry, cherry, raspberry—, wild flowers and delicate notes of licorice and spices. On the palate it is agile, juicy and vibrant, with soft tannins, excellent acidity and a long, fruity and refreshing finish that invites you to keep drinking.

Pairing

Perfect for tapas, meat rice dishes, Iberian cold cuts, white meats, gourmet burgers, semi-cured cheeses or pasta with mild sauces. A versatile, gastronomic and very easy-to-enjoy wine.
