Venus La Universal 2020 is a red wine born from sensitivity, the land, and the tireless pursuit of beauty. It is the personal project of Sara Pérez, in the Montsant region, where every cluster and every glass tells a story of deep love for nature, viticulture, and life.

This wine is the perfect synthesis of strength and elegance. It comes from Garnacha and Cariñena vineyards planted on clay, limestone, and slate soils, in a wild and vibrant landscape. The harvest is manual, with meticulous selection. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in cement tanks, foudres, and open barrels, seeking the most honest expression of the terroir. It is aged for 18 months in used oak barrels, where the wine refines, calms, and reaches its fullness.

Tasting Notes

Intense cherry red color with garnet rim, bright and deep. The nose is complex and seductive, with aromas of ripe black fruit, Mediterranean herbs, violets, sweet spices, cocoa, and a mineral background reminiscent of slate and damp earth. On the palate, it is broad, elegant, and enveloping, with fine tannins, a lively acidity that provides tension, and a long, persistent finish full of nuances that combine fruit with minerality and spicy notes.

Pairing

Perfect to accompany grilled meats, traditional stews, game dishes, mountain rices, mushrooms, aged cheeses, or intense Mediterranean cuisine. A wine that demands time, calm, and conversation.
