Victorino 2021 is the deepest and most elegant incarnation of Tinta de Toro, a wine that pays homage to the ancestral tradition of a territory where the vine survives time and extreme weather. A wine that is contained strength, precision, and beauty, born from old vines that converse with the stone and wind of the Castilian plateau.

Sourced from centenarian, ungrafted vineyards on sandy and pebble soils, where the roots delve deep in search of the earth's essence. Cultivation is sustainable, with minimal intervention, and harvesting is done manually with a rigorous selection of bunches. Fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts, followed by 20 months of aging in new French oak barrels, where the wine refines, reaching its maximum expression of elegance, power, and complexity.

Tasting Notes

Very intense cherry-red color, high intensity, with garnet rim and dense tears. On the nose, it is majestic and deep, with aromas of ripe black fruit—blackberry, blueberry, plum—, cocoa, liquorice, graphite, violets, balsamic notes, and a mineral background that evokes the warm stone and dry earth of Toro. On the palate, it is powerful, structured, and silky, with firm yet polished tannins, vibrant freshness, and an eternal finish, where fruit, minerality, and echoes of noble wood merge in perfect balance.

Pairing

Ideal for red meats, aged beef ribeye, suckling lamb, game dishes, traditional stews, highly cured cheeses, and acorn-fed Iberian cured meats. A wine that demands time, calm, a large glass, and serene conversation.
