Viña Tondonia Reserva 2011 is the embodiment of timeless elegance, of wine born from the whisper of time and absolute respect for tradition. A sensory journey to the heart of Rioja Alta, where patience is a virtue and each vintage is a living memory of the landscape.

Sourced from the historic terraces of Finca Viña Tondonia, on the banks of the Ebro, where clay-limestone soils and Atlantic influence impart freshness and finesse. The old vines are cultivated using traditional methods. Harvesting is manual, with selection in the vineyard. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in ancient oak vats, followed by a prolonged aging of 6 years in used American oak barrels, with manual racking every six months, and subsequent fining in the bottle before release to the market.

Tasting Notes

Brilliant ruby red color with brick-red rim, clean and medium-bodied. On the nose, it is elegant, complex, and ethereal, with aromas of ripe red fruit —cherry, redcurrant—, sweet spices, leather, tobacco, vanilla, dried fruits, and a subtle background of damp forest, dried leaves, and minerality. On the palate, it is silky, fine, and balanced, with polished tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, persistent, and harmonious finish, where fruit, aging memories, and freshness merge in a timeless whisper.
