Product Sheet – Viña Ulises 2022

Viña Ulises 2022 is a dry red wine produced by Bodegas Gutiérrez de la Vega in the Valencian Community, Spain. It comes from vineyards located in Parcent (Alicante), with 40-year-old vines, where the Giró and Garnacha varieties are cultivated in clay-limestone soils with rounded pebbles.

The harvest is done manually, with a careful selection of grape bunches. The grapes are destemmed, crushed, and fermented with indigenous yeasts for 10 days in stainless steel tanks, with light pump-overs every two days. Subsequently, the wine is aged for 9 months, half in stainless steel tanks on its fine lees and the other half in 500-liter used French oak barrels.

Tasting Notes

Light ruby color with low intensity. On the nose, fresh aromas of wild strawberries and red forest fruits, with floral notes and a delicate spicy touch. On the palate, agile, fresh, lively, and light, with very fine tannins and a very pleasant finish. 

Food Pairing

Ideal as an aperitif, with tapas, and with white fish. A wine that enhances fresh and light flavors.
